Matthew Broderick’s ‘Ferris Bueller’ commercial hits the Internet. Oh, yeah!!

Honda

Oh, yeah! Matthew Broderick's Super Bowl commercial is finally here, and it seems that 26 years later, Ferris Bueller's day off is a little bit lonelier.

The highly anticipated Honda CR-V commercial, which will air Sunday on NBC during the Super Bowl, features Broderick spoofing the famous 1986 flick "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." According to Honda's YouTube upload, it "hid over two dozen references to the movie throughout the commercial." The nods we found to the iconic John Hughes movie include Broderick faking sick ("How can I handle work on a day like today?"), singing on the streets, and being called "Broderick? Broderick?" by a slow, monotone voice.

Exercise And Sleeping Better

Exercise And Sleeping

The amount of physical exercise that you exert during the day is one of the key ingredients to helping you get a good sleep at night.  The more active your body is during the day, the more likely you are to relax at night and fall asleep faster.

With regular exercise you’ll notice that your quality of sleep is improved and the transition between the cycles and phases of sleep will become smoother and more regular.  By keeping up your physical activity during the day, you may find it easier to deal with the stress and worries of your life.

Research and studies indicate that there is a direct correlation between how much we exercise and how we feel afterwards.

H&M accused of copying 'You look nice today' design

In December 2008, Tori LaConsay painted a love letter to her neighbourhood. On a billboard in East Atlanta Village, she wrote: “You look nice today.”

Beside the hand-painted text, she added a little heart. This month, she discovered that an almost-identical image — with the same wording, font and little heart — was being sold by H&M on pillowcases and doormats.

"For the first time, the chic has become a plausible option for a community so far pegged [only] to its street wear codes," writes Nathalie Dolivo in a post translated from the magazine's website titled 'Black Fashion Power.'

Nintendo 3DS vs PlayStation Vita

Nintendo 3DS And PlayStation Vita

The Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita are the newest dedicated handheld gaming devices to hit the market. While both offer some similar features and have the backing of two of biggest names in the gaming industry, they are two distinctly different devices. While the 3DS has some time and experience to support its current place as leader of the handheld gaming market, the PS Vita has some powerful specs and innovative features that just might take that coveted position away from it.

Good to know what's the difference between them...

Huge Solar Eruption Sparks Strongest Radiation Storm in 7 Years

A powerful solar eruption is expected to blast a stream of charged particles toward Earth tomorrow (Jan. 24), as the strongest radiation storm since 2005 rages on the sun.

Early this morning (0359 GMT Jan. 23, which corresponds to late Sunday, Jan. 22 at 10:59 p.m. EST), NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory caught an extreme ultraviolet flash from a huge eruption on the sun , according to the skywatching website Spaceweather.com.

10 most expensive places to visit

Thanks to the struggling economy, the word "vacation" has become taboo -- so taboo that a substitute word, "staycation," was added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary in 2009. Although the web is bursting with deals and advice on vacationing on a dime, let's be honest: There are some cities that are, in one word, expensive.

To separate the reputed budget-busters from the truly expensive cities, UBS Wealth Management Research, a Swiss-based global financial services company, conducts a regular Prices and Earnings report, the most recent of which was published in August 2011.

Could the Internet Ever Be Destroyed?

The raging battle over SOPA and PIPA, the proposed anti-piracy laws, is looking more and more likely to end in favor of Internet freedom — but it won't be the last battle of its kind. Although, ethereal as it is, the Internet seems destined to survive in some form or another, experts warn that there are many threats to its status quo existence, and there is much about it that could be ruined or lost.

Predictions made by engineer in 1900 mostly come true

Two of the devices Watkins loosely predicted in 1900 - the digital camera and the cell phone.

Predicting the future is usually difficult although an American engineer did a pretty good job when he wrote his predictions for the next hundred years way back in 1900.

John Elfreth Watkins wrote an article for Ladies' Home Journal titled "What May Happen in the Next Hundred Years", where he somehow foresaw mobile phones, digital photography, television and tanks along with some incorrect predictions.

Now, 112 years later, a history editor for the Journal's sister publication, the Saturday Evening Post, dug out the article to see how Watkins did.

Watkins started by saying "These prophecies will seem strange, almost impossible. Yet they have come from the most learned and conservative minds in America."

Man with golden voice, Ted Williams, one year after shooting to fame

Just over a year ago when the world first saw Ted Williams, he was homeless and standing at the side of a road holding a sign that said he had a great voice.

Now the man with the golden voice has a much different look. He has a clean haircut, glasses, is no longer wearing a camouflage jacket and is living under a roof.

Williams shot to fame after the Columbus Dispatch newspaper posted a video shot by Doral Chenoweth. Williams was standing at the side of a road with a sign that read, "I have a God given gift of voice." Curious, Chenoweth asked Williams to say something and the video took off.

What's in that OJ? Tropicana is sued

(Reuters) - A California woman is suing the maker of Tropicana claiming it is squeezing consumers by touting the best-selling U.S. orange juice as "100% pure and natural" when it is not.

In her federal lawsuit, plaintiff Angelena Lewis said Tropicana Products Inc, knowing consumers "want and demand natural products," deceives them in its advertising and packaging for its Pure Premium juice, including cartons featuring an orange with a straw stuck into it.

Lewis said the unit of PepsiCo Inc actually puts the juice through extensive processing, adding aromas and flavors that change its "essential nature" and give it a longer shelf life.

Watching it, it's hard to believe Sands isn't a young Jolie, since the Spanish actress matches Jolie's modelesque figure, brown hair, and beautiful facial features.

How a 33-year-old became a billionaire

Robert J. Pera lives lean. The Apple engineer turned entrepreneur never checks a bag at the airport, leases a BMW and keeps a sparsely furnished one-bedroom apartment in San Jose, Calif. Pera takes a similar stripped-down approach toward running Ubiquiti Networks, the maker of wireless-networking gear he founded in 2005 and that went public in October. "My aim is to build something great as efficiently as possible," he says.

Thus far Pera has had exceptional aim: In the 12 months ended Sept. 30, Ubiquiti netted $64 million on $243 million in sales. That 26% net margin is the highest of any publicly traded computer hardware firm, according to FactSet Research Systems. (Apple came in second, at 24%.) Pera owns 64% of Ubiquiti, making his stake worth $1.2 billion on paper.

Ontario couple to claim $50M lottery win

A couple from Hawkesbury, Ont., just east of Ottawa, say they will head to Toronto on Tuesday to claim their $50-million Lotto Max prize.

Jo Ann Champagne, 49, said she and her 51-year-old husband, GaƩtan, picked up the winning ticket at a pharmacy while shopping for Boxing Day sales "so I could put away stuff for next year and save some money."

They had played the lottery for 20 years without much luck, she said.

"I had to stop at the corner store on the way into Hawkesbury and I put the ticket in the checker, like I do every Saturday when I buy my 6/49 and I check my Max," Champagne said. "So I put it in and it says 50,000.

Swedish woman finds wedding ring after 16 years, on a carrot

A Swedish woman who lost her wedding ring 16 years ago was flabbergasted when she found it again, around a carrot growing in her garden, media reported Saturday.

Lena Paahlsson had taken off the white gold ring before a Christmas baking session with her daughters in 1995, but it had disappeared from the kitchen counter where she placed it.

After looking everywhere, and even pulling up floorboards in the search, Paahlsson and her family, who live on a farm in northern Sweden, had given up on seeing the ring again, she told the Dagens Nyheter daily.

That was until October this year, when she was picking the last carrots in her garden and suddenly found one with her ring glimmering around it.

Living small: Lulu’s shipping container home

Downsizing was “big” in 2011, but few took the drastic measures Argentinean-born Californian single mom Lulu did.

Lulu went back to school and didn’t want to have to work full-time hours on top of her studies just to pay her rent. Instead, she and her daughter moved into a shipping container — for a steal.

“I think I’m a little claustrophobic, so the storage container was a little daunting, but I got the container for free,” she said.

Lulu went to work, honing her DIY skills on the box that would become her home. She put windows and a door, installed a kitchen and insulation, and then fitted a bed, couch, bookshelf and cabinets into the 160-square-foot cube.
