Great Tips for Becoming a Morning Person

Ever wonder why you're able to stay up until 2 am, while your best friend can's make it until 10 pm? It has everything to do with your internal clock, says Tracey Marks, M.D., an Atlanta-based psychiatrist and author of Master Your Sleep: Proven Methods Simplified. The overgrown pooch was reuniting with his dad, Trevor Chowder, who was returning from deployment in Afghanistan after spending nine months apart.

The loving giant, who is normally not allowed to jump up (you'll see why when you watch the video — he's as tall as his human companion) stares into Trevor's eyes and gives him a hug while standing on his hind legs.

This condition, recently coined "cochlear ear-kiss injury," occurs when an overly strong suction from a kiss pulls on the eardrum and throws off the inner-ear alignment. In addition to hearing loss, this injury can also result in hearing distortion, ringing and sound sensitivity.
