How to Survive a Trip to IKEA

How to Survive a Trip to IKEA

Our family trips to IKEA used to go something like this:

We'd pile into a car on a Saturday morning, scoot up to the big blue-and-yellow building and wait in lines from the parking lot to the cafeteria to the check out -- and then out of the parking lot again.

We'd walk in thinking we wanted one thing, but then leave with armfuls of everything except the one item we came for.

We'd fight over who was lingering too long at the couches, or the kitchen items, or the TV consoles. By the time we reached the dining area, we'd be hot, sweaty, irritable and so hungry that no amount of Swedish meatballs could make us feel better.
